⭕Brad Traversy's (Traversy Media) Object Oriented PHP & MVC Review || UDEMY course

Despite the hipsters and marketers who claim otherwise, PHP isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. If you want to become a full stack developer or even just work deeper with WordPress or most other content management systems, having a functional understanding of PHP (particularly object-oriented PHP) is a must.

In this video, I’m reviewing Brad Traversy’s course on OO PHP. What I love about Brad’s material is that he shares coding knowledge while leading you through high-quality…

  1. If you want to go for beginners level video, go for PHP FRONT TO BACK of Traversy Media. He did a great job on making shorts for beginner level understanding.

  2. Fan of Traversy for few years already. Amazing tutor, he bring things down to a complete newbie level, and takes his time with the explanations step by step as he codes. A pro that never forgets that he was once a noob as well, comparing to many of the others paid/unpaid tuts I been following, who just shoot all in one breath like a shutgun, and expect you to be happy for ending up with brain salad. No such problems with Traversy, its all nice, mentally smooth and intelectually gentle . He is like the mom of your brain, grows it sane and strong for the "cruel" life of coders.

  3. Thank you for the shout out RTC, you just made my day. I'll have to enroll in Brad's PHP course after I get the basics down. Love the way he teaches and enrolled in some of his courses.

  4. I really appreciate this review as I just finished Mischook's Beginners Course and will circle back to Brad's PHP stuff for modern projects and Advanced OOP MVC knowledge now that I know I like PHP. Glad to get a recommendation on an OOP Course cuz Mischook emphasized the importance of it, but it would've been too far beyond the scope of his course to teach (I think he does a bit in the separate Project Course though). Rock on! Thank you.

  5. There's a lot of anti PHP fan boys but the bottom line is that PHP is still used in the industry and companies are not going to stop using it because the anti PHP kids don't think it's cool. Many companies would rather eat the ass out of a dead rhinoceros than pay attention to the anti PHP kiddos.

  6. Thanks for the great review RTC ? glad you liked it. I personally love PHP it was actually the first language i learned even before JS and you’re right it does get a bad wrap unfortunately even though it powers a huge percentage of websites. I think one good reason is that its so easy to write bad code and isn’t the most elegant language. It’s gotten much better though. Anyway, thanks for mentioning this ?

  7. My god!!! Watching this review makes me miss PHP/LAMP stack already. Me being in /learning the MEAN stack here at work… Yeah the demand for PHP ain’t going nowhere…. Candy, you have patreon? I may have to investigate the RTC patreon then. I just become a patreon of Traversy Media this morning.

  8. Something brad does better than anyone else I’ve bought a course from is this: he gives you a sandbox of everything you need to get the job done. This coming from taking his bootstrap 4 and javascript course. There are so many times I skip google and go right back to the course notes to get an idea of where I’m going with something.

On top of that the mans YouTube channel speaks for itself. He deserves all the success in the world for the content he puts out.
